This request came from a customer that does project work for national accounts. The national accounts all provide work authorization letters that are presented to the manager on duty before beginning work. Previously, the operations manager would email the authorization letter to the technicians for the upcoming projects. Since most projects spanned months, the technician would have to either locate the email, or the downloaded file on their phone –sometimes while standing in front of the store manager. This led to unprofessional customer project introductions; but now however, we have developed a much better way.
How it Works
Letters of Authorization can be uploaded to a Customer profile. Then when creating a new Work Order, the Letter of Authorization (LOA) can be selected from the dropdown list. When the technician opens the Work Order, the LOA is available for immediate download and presentation to the store manager, or manager on duty.
